Orchard House is your private villa inside the World Heritage listed Fort at Galle on the southern tip of Sri Lanka.
Built in the 18th Century, the house was restored by internationally recognised interior designer Leslie Walford occupying a mid-point in his travels between England and Australia.
Echoing the history of Galle, the Dutch colonial style architecture with Portuguese overtones is appointed throughout with Leslie’s original selection of fine Dutch antiques and Sri Lankan paintings.
This 1000 square metre walled Villa boasts 4 bedrooms, all with ensuites, 4 full time staff, including chef, and is situated a short walk or short ride in your private Tuk Tuk to the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Walk to the ramparts for the spectacular sunsets, visit temples, or go for a day trip to Geoffrey Bawa and his brother Bevis’ magnificent gardens.
Orchard House seamlessly blends old world European style with the calm beach life of the Sri Lankan Tropical South.
